Wow, I overloaded with events
OptimismI've been doing my best to make myself a "To Do" list every day. Having so much to do with a very short memory span doesn't help getting anything done. Slowly but surely, my room has filled up with more paper than clothes and I'm back to square one. I haven't gotten much done in the last three days other than updating journals here on dA. However, I'm lively and moving about and everything seems to be falling in place... so yay!
The minute I get started on my responsibilities, it also seems that my artistic mind shuts down. This whole week, I felt uninspired to draw, color, etc. I honestly can't push myself to draw more than a shoddy chibi girl about the height of my thumb on a lined index card. I happened to have gone through something similar to this when I was younger. I wrote nearly every day. From poems to long stories, my gallery filled up daily with literature. When I got more serious in school and my well being, I stopped literature altogether. I still write now and then, but I never finish. Feels like my artwork is taking that course as well. I seriously hope not.

Many users asked for this and that and a ton of organization. And am I glad they did! Now the group will knock the end of the year out with a few good events in place. We're going to have submission features for a theme for Thanksgiving and we're having Secret Santa for December!
I still have to work out the many kinks left in Secret Santa before I really go about to posting the event as active. I've been drawing up ideas from other places that I'm actively participating in that has Secret Santa (DenOfAngels for one). I've decided to go against physical gifts because they get a bit complicated. I figured why not have what dA provides? This even gives the users the option not to spend a single penny on the gift they give but those who do not mind using up a small bit of cash, they're free to give their recipient something from the recipient's wishlist. Considering that the wishlist lets the buyer just pay for the item and have that item shipped to the recipient, this works out perfectly. Subscriptions are also another option, obviously.
The smaller updates that I put in were online deviant art meets. Using sites like blogtv and livestream as well as paint chat and iscribble, users can get to know fellow deviants within and around NYC. This saves everyone from going out in the cold and a few dollars for those who have to take the metro on top of it all. I hope this kind of meet goes extremely well.
I'm horribly excited over every event. I hope everyone else also likes it as well.

A few people may recognize this artist because her work has been featured as a DD FIVE TIMES. That's a lot of DD's. What I like about this artist is that though her style might look similar to other great artists you've seen on dA, if you have a closer look, you'll see that this artist really has her own style. Her art consists of people, mostly, and the eye style and hair style stay consistent. However, she experiments and tries new things which is something I admire extremely in artists. I highly suggest you have a visit to her gallery. She's a very worthy artist to add to my list of WOW Artists.
