Being an adult sucks.

The reason I've been submitting recently isn't just because I want to get back into art but because I need money. I'm putting it as bluntly as possible because money has always been a touchy subject with me and I've always been embarrassed to really talk about needing it. I live with my boyfriend and our two dogs. We were doing great financially up until maybe two or three months ago. Both of us had a job that provided for more than enough. Things were looking good. Our apartment complex decided after about eight months of us having dogs that we were all of a sudden under breach of lease. Facing eviction, we looked for a place and found a lovely affordable home. Right before signing the lease, the landlord changed her mind. So we got an extension and then found another home. Then Sandy struck and the landlord, again, changed his mind. His home had been ruined and he needed a place to move into. We finally found an amazingly beautiful and affordable home near the end of December. We moved in around January. Between paying the last month's rent at the old apartment, paying the deposit and the first month's rent at the new place, we ran empty on money. And both of us ended up losing our jobs. I found a new job but they only want me for weekends and I've tried every local businesses again and again. With disregard to transportation, I've been trying to get jobs all the way out to Queens, NYC. No such luck. Today is the 26th and I'm still at least $800 short on rent which is due in five days.

I don't ask for help a lot. I hate it. But I need it. If anyone knows anyone that could help me out, please contact me. I'm just completely at a loss on what to do.
