Bubble Fairy

So... pixel art really isn't my thing. I spent half an hour alone on her hair which I'm STILL not satisfied with.

Pixel art takes too long, in my honest opinion. I have to keep zooming in and out to get the feel for it. I really don't know why I bothered with this one considering I still have my WIP: Purple Royal Dress EGL to work on.

But the reason I DO like this is because of the effects I put on it. It happened first with her wing. I put my eraser's spacing to 200% which made the eraser tool erase in grids. The wing came out transparent and I liked it. So then I made a pattern of a 2x2 checkerpiece and then made a new layer, filled it with the pattern and whenever I wanted something to be transparent, I selected pixel from the layer with the pattern and cleared on the layer with the item I wanted transparent. That's how I made the ghost of the girl in the background. Granted, I did alter the hue after duplicating her so the ghost effect worked better.

Also, a lot of gloss... And I really don't know what I was going for when I made her.
