I haven't uploaded a proper deviation in awhile so I felt the need to do SOMETHING. This is what I came up with. As usual, I don't have enough will to create line art myself so I went browsing for one on #color-me-club. I saw this and I figured why not?

As some may have noticed, this is not my usual coloring style. When I saw the line art I wanted to try something a bit more paint-like. It reminded me of American comic book art styles so I wanted it to reflect that.

Overall, the only major thing was that I'm proud of the extra tint I added to show that she's affected by the light source from her hands. The shadows around on the hands, I feel, were placed properly. I don't usually do that.

I'm rather proud of this piece... and I was surprised it took me such little time to make.


Photoshop CS3, Logitech Mouse, two and a half hours spent coloring.

Very nicely done. The colors and lighting are on point! I even like what she's creating with her hands. :D

Great work. I really like the way you did light effects, especially the lightning. The shading is also very nice. :)

And the colours you picked... Well, this character is supposed to be a porcelain-skinned redhead, so I guess you're a mindreader. :D
