White Rose Prince

Hiatus, eh?
Had a real go at realism yet again. Extremely disappointed with a lot of things about this picture but I knew I wouldn't jump from an amateur state to professional so I'm proud that I got this as it is.

I started this around noon today and finished it around 10:30PM. Took plenty of breaks in between. Used tons and tons and tons of references to figure out how to shade things. Done all in black and white. Added color in the end. Ah and why is it that there's not a lot of 'realism' tutorials for the nose? I had to look at a 3d render of a woman's face to get his nose to look like a nose.

I got quite lazy towards the end of it and added a picture of a rose from the stock images on dA.

Will I have another go at realism? Of course!
Oh and as usual... done all in mouse. No tablet.
